Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an increasingly important part of company policies and initiatives as people become more aware about environmental and social issues. People who want to start a business career and leave a positive impact on society can benefit from studying at MBA schools with a strong focus on CSR.
Corporate Knights, a Toronto-based business magazine that reports on sustainability and CSR news, published their 2015 Better World MBA Ranking of the top business schools that integrate social and environmental responsibility in their curriculum and research efforts. Their ranking methodology assessed three indicators: curriculum, institutes & centers and faculty research.
Schools that perform well in the Corporate Knights rankings have five core courses that address social and environmental topics, at least five research centers dedicated to better world topics (sustainable finance, clean energy, gender diversity, etc.), and at least one well-cited research paper per faculty published every three years.
