For the last few months, our team has been hard at work on the latest version of the Prep4GMAT app. We’re incredibly excited to announce that this Friday, the brand new version of the Prep4GMAT app will be available for Android. If you’re using the iOS version, stay tuned for an update in the next few weeks or sign up here to be notified the moment it’s released.

We’re launching several brand-new features in this version, as well as redesigning a few of the classics, like our x-ray feature.

The question above comes directly from the app, you can find it in the third practice set within the “Clauses” lesson.

Every facet of the Prep4GMAT app - from the tutor marketplace to the practice questions - is designed to streamline the GMAT prep process. Each practice question should put you one step closer to your target score. With that in mind, we’ve come up with a few tools to help you maximize the value of each question answered.

1. Eliminate

If you’re faced with a difficult question, the first thing you can do is eliminate answer choices. This is a hugely valuable strategy in GMAT prep, and we think it’s especially useful when working in an online format.

2. X-ray

Current users will recognize our x-ray feature, which selects keywords to help you identify question patterns. This is the core of Prep4GMAT’s patented label study method. When you tap the x-ray button in the bottom right corner, you’ll see that each question has multiple labels to help you spot things like misplaced modifiers and incorrect tenses.  You can scroll through each of the labels by tapping the arrows on either side of the label name. When you tap the arrow above the label name, you can see an explanation of that particular topic.

3. Bookmark

The new app will let you bookmark questions by simply tapping the top right corner of the screen. You can review your bookmarked questions by accessing the main menu. You can bookmark questions before you submit them, or while reviewing your answers in a practice set.

4. Debrief

Just as before, all of our practice questions are divided into short practice sets of roughly 5 questions. Once you’ve completed all five, you’ll be able to see how you did. In this case, the user answered 4/5 questions correctly. For each question, you can see how long you spent answering as well as which answer choices you considered. And of course, you can also read a detailed explanation for each question.
